Juniors aged eight to 16 are being offered a sporting chance to try a range of activities for one perfect price this summer, thanks to East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture (EDLC) Trust.

The Play Pass includes access to:

  • Badminton
  • Mini Tennis
  • Pickleball (a cross between tennis, badminton and table tennis)
  • Swimming.

For just £4, young people (aged eight to 16) can enjoy a taste of all four activities at the Leisuredrome in Bishopbriggs or the Allander Leisure Centre, Bearsden.

Jim Neill, Chair of EDLC Trust, said, "I'm delighted we're able to give young people a sporting chance to try four fabulous activities at our leisure centres in Bishopbriggs and Bearsden.

"The Play Pass offers value-for-money access to various different sports, encouraging participants to have fun while getting active."

All juniors taking part in an activity must have a pass, which should be bought on the day (price includes all hire charges). One-hour sports hall slots can be booked, but individual activities cannot.

Juniors must complete one activity before commencing another. Availability may be limited due to regular programmed events. Each pass entitles the bearer to a swim and a racket sports session (which will last at least one hour).

Meanwhile, young football fans can play away the summer days by netting an amazing deal.

For just £10 per court, aspiring Andy Robertsons and Erin Cuthberts (aged 16 and under) can enjoy an hour-long football session using the outside five-a-side facilities at the Leisuredrome and Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre.

The offer applies Monday-Friday (9am-4pm), Saturday (1pm-4pm) and Sunday (1pm-8pm) until 31 August 2022.

Any players aged eight and under must be supervised by an adult throughout the booking. Maximum of 10 people per pitch booking.

Ask at the centre's reception for more information or call 0141 777 3060 (Leisuredrome) / 0141 578 8222 (Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre).

Visit EDLC Sports and Leisure for more information.

Please note, the £10 per hour must be paid in advance at the centre's reception. Coached activities, including clubs, are not eligible for this deal. Bookings subject to availability.
