Over £10 million worth of grants paid out to local businesses

Vital grants worth more than £10 million have now been paid out to East Dunbartonshire businesses to help support them through the COVID-19 pandemic.Joint Council leaders

The Council and Business Gateway East Dunbartonshire continue to receive applications, calls and queries from a wide range of local firms and enterprises.

The Scottish Government Coronavirus Business Support Fund is being administered by the Council and - as of 19 May 2020 - 1,089 applications had been received for a Small Business or Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant.

More than £10.1 million worth of grants had been paid as of 19 May 2020 - including 829 Small Business Grants, totalling over £8.23 million, and 77 Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grants - more than £1.89 million.

There have also been 89 applications to the Newly Self-Employed Hardship Fund, with a total of £98,000 in grants issued (as of 19 May 2020).
