New meeting organised for East Dunbartonshire Women in Business Group

Get ‘organised’ and don’t miss the next meeting of East Dunbartonshire Women in Business Group.

That is the advice from Business Gateway East Dunbartonshire, which has arranged a new session for the group on the theme ‘Be organised’.

It follows a celebration of the group during Business Week in May, which was addressed by author and broadcaster Sally Magnusson (pictured).

The next meeting of East Dunbartonshire Women in Business Group takes place on Tuesday 25 September from 6.30pm-8.30pm in Kilmardinny House, Bearsden.

The event is open to women either running their own business or considering setting up a business in the area.

Councillor Susan Murray (also pictured), Vice Convener of Place, Neighbourhood & Corporate Assets, said, “Book up now to attend this free, informal evening and discover how being more organised can help you with running your own business.

“As well as giving people the opportunity to participate in a practical workshop, there will be the opportunity to network with other attendees.”

The event will also feature Kate Galbally, of Milngavie-based Better Organised, who will provide an insight into her business – which offers decluttering, organising and PA services for the home or office – and share tips for being more organised.

In addition, there will be a “spotlight on” Bishopbriggs-based Indie Authors World – a self-publishing company run by Kim and Sinclair Macleod – which helps writers achieve their dreams.

Councillor Murray added, “The Council delivers a range of business support services within East Dunbartonshire – including the Business Gateway programme.

"A huge amount of support is available locally for anyone starting their own businesses or looking to expand an existing enterprise."
