New Chief Officer for Health and Social Care

The East Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has appointed a new Chief Officer.

Susan Manion takes up her new role on 12 December following the retirement of previous Chief Officer, Karen Murray.

Susan joins East Dunbartonshire with significant experience in leading health and social care. Susan has held a number of posts including Chief Officer in the Scottish Borders, General Manager for the Dunfermline and West Fife Community Health Partnership, and Director of Primary Care at the Camden Primary Care Trust.

Susan said, “I am enthusiastic and passionate about improving health and care services for individuals and communities. East Dunbartonshire has an excellent track record in the field of health and social care and I am keen to build on this, working with staff, service users and communities.”

Councillor Rhondda Geekie, Chairperson of East Dunbartonshire HSCP, welcomed the appointment. She said, “I am delighted to welcome Mrs Manion to the team, her wealth of experience means that she is the ideal person to lead the continued development of health and social care integration.”
