Kilmardinny House was recently rejuvenated by a £2.73m programme of works – delivered by East Dunbartonshire Council in conjunction with the EDLC Trust and development partner hub West Scotland.

Councillor Billy Hendry, Convener of Place, Neighbourhood & Corporate Assets, said, "Kilmardinny House is available for weddings, family occasions, arts events, conferences, community meetings and more.

“I would encourage anyone looking for a stunning venue in scenic surroundings to go along to the open day on 2 June.”

The events are being organised by East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture (EDLC) Trust and specialist caterers Elior.

Sandy Marshall, Chair of EDLC Trust, said, "Why not make your dad’s day on Sunday 17 June by treating him to a fantastic day out at Kilmardinny House? As well as a luxury dining experience in a relaxed setting, there will also be whisky tasting, a chance to look round the house and children’s entertainment – including bouncy castle and disco.”

Father’s Day lunches will be served in the new garden pavilion extension – which provides a modern, flexible space able to accommodate a range of activities, including performances, celebrations, exhibitions and more.

The main house - located in Kilmardinny Avenue, Bearsden - offers a range of rooms and studios for use by local arts and community groups, as well as individuals, companies and organisations.
