Do you care about your health and social care services in your local area? Would you like to take part in a consultation event to help shape their future?

East Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, is holding two local community engagement events called ‘Moving Forward Together’ (MFT) as part of a wider consultation.

These events will provide local residents with information about the future of health and social care services. It is also an opportunity for people to participate in the long term planning and development of these services in East Dunbartonshire and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Senior managers and board members from the HSCP and from NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde will provide presentations at both events to share plans of the Moving Forward Together programme. This Moving Forward Together programme sets out to forward plan the future provision of health and social care in line with demand and aspirations for all residents in the area.

All East Dunbartonshire residents are invited to tell us what matters most about the services we deliver. These include district nursing, community older people’s team, mental health services, social work services (adults & children), community midwifery, Oral Health and NHS community children’s services.

The events are taking place at the following times:

  • Friday 5 April
    Bishopbriggs War Memorial Hall, Balmuildy Road, G64 3DY
     9:30am - 12:15pm;

  • Friday 5 April
    Bearsden Hub, Drymen Road, G61 3DY
    1:30pm - 4:15pm

Places are limited. To book your place, please call 0141 578 8658 or email ED.Healthimprovementteam@ggc.scot.nhs.uk

East Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care partnerships Chief Officer Susan Manion, said: “These events will be a great opportunity to hear from senior managers about the ambitions of the HSCP and NHS GGC and to ask them questions and help shape the future of health and social care services.

“I would encourage everyone who is able to come along, and get involved in shaping the services which, at one point or another, affect the health and wellbeing of everyone across East Dunbartonshire. Your opinion counts.”
