Have your say on the design of Milngavie play area

East Dunbartonshire Council needs your help to decide on the winning design of a new play area in Milngavie.

All play areas across East Dunbartonshire are currently closed due to restrictions put in place across the country to help deal with the Coronavirus pandemic. However, the Council is planning to upgrade its play area at Lennox Park in the town when restrictions are lifted and residents are being offered the chance to vote for their favourite design from five options.

You can now view the designs and vote for your favourite by going to https://www.eastdunbarton.gov.uk/have-your-say-design-milngavie-play-area

The Council’s Depute Chief Executive, Place, Neighbourhood & Corporate Assets, Thomas Glen, said, "To ensure we're offering the highest standard of quality and choice to the community, we are presenting a variety of design options to residents. We want as many people as possible to have their say on what they'd like to see in the play area by taking part in a quick vote.

"The voting is on a one vote per household basis and the design that has collected the most votes at the expiry of the deadline date will be the one that's installed.

"I really hope local children and their mums and dads or carers take a look at these designs and tell us which one they prefer.

"Please note, you only have until Wednesday 27 May to make your choice - votes made after this deadline will not be counted."

Each of the choices are an improvement on the current playground and are designed to provide exciting and challenging play equipment for children of all ages.

Design proposals were invited - and submitted - on a fixed budget basis.
