If you are looking for some unique and interesting Christmas gifts then the Auld Kirk Museum has the answers to your festive shopping headaches thanks to its annual Arts & Crafts Exhibition.

Until Friday 23 December the Kirkintilloch museum will be selling a wonderful range of arts and crafts from both local and national craft makers.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy the work of guest artist, Ann Armstrong.  Ann studied at Glasgow School of Art and her paintings are inspired by her travels.

The special ‘All Wrapped Up’ Christmas shopping event on Saturday 10 December is also the perfect opportunity to buy Christmas gifts in the unique museum setting, with free gift wrapping, face painting, live music from Kirkintilloch Brass Band and festive refreshments on offer between 10am and 4pm.

Councillor Anne Jarvis, Chair of EDLC Trust, said, “I love being able to browse at these events as it is an ideal opportunity to find unusual and unique gifts from local sources.

“The Auld Kirk is an excellent venue and the exhibition promises to offer something for everyone. Why not come along and enjoy a festive celebration of local art and craftwork?”
