Get on Board with EDLC Trust

East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust is looking for people passionate about promoting leisure and cultural services to join its Board.EDLC logo

There are vacancies for two Independent Directors to work with members of the EDLC Trust Board to oversee the delivery of local leisure and cultural services - with facilities including three leisure centres, a sports hub, eight libraries, a museum and an art gallery, as well as Kirkintilloch Town Hall and Kilmardinny House..

Applicants should be knowledgeable in either or both leisure and cultural services, and/or skilled in a profession or other capacity that would add value and support to the Board.

Jim Neill, Chair of East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust (EDLCT), said, "We would like to hear from people who have an interest in public service and are passionate about promoting leisure and culture. You could help to shape the delivery and development of vital local services and facilities."

On average, successful candidates will serve on the Trust Board and Sub-Groups around eight days per year with meetings of the Board taking place in the evening, normally in Kirkintilloch, although travel to other venues may be required on occasion.Advert for vacancies

The appointment is initially for a fixed term of two-three years, with the possibility of re-appointment. Directors are voluntary, however, they are entitled to receive costs incurred while serving, including travel (in Scotland), subsistence and all reasonable expenses.
