East Dunbartonshire Council and the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) have produced a Summer Safety booklet packed with information to ensure you have a season to remember for all the right reasons.

There are a wealth of safety tips covering a variety of topics - including warm weather, water, barbecues and food hygiene, camping, caravans, cycling, gardening, health and wellbeing, and home security and safety.

The colourful booklet also contains advice on anti-social behaviour, carbon monoxide, doorstep crime, fire prevention, and alcohol and drug use.

There are also lots of online links to help you find the latest information.

You can download a copy of Summer Safety East Dunbartonshire here.

It contains information from a number of partners, including the Council's Trading Standards and Environmental Health teams, the HSCP, Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue, and more.

The booklet builds on work carried out by the Council and the HSCP to support Healthy Working Lives.

Councillor Vaughan Moody, Joint Leader of the Council, said, "I would encourage everyone with online access to download this fantastic resource, which offers a range of advice, links and support. As we emerge from the shadow of the pandemic it's important we all work together to help keep everyone safe."

Councillor Andrew Polson, Joint Leader of the Council, added, "As restrictions begin to ease and we enjoy the summer months, it's vital we look out for each other and keep the community spirit going that has sustained us during these challenging times. If you get a chance, please check out the booklet - the information within will help to keep you and your loved ones free from harm."
