Four information sessions are being held at Milngavie Town Hall on Wednesday 26 June to give people a chance to learn more and have their own say about the types of Council services that will be delivered from the facility.

Following on from an information event held in late 2017, the hour-long sessions will be supported by key members of the project team and will include short presentations at 2pm, 3.30pm, 6pm and 7.30pm outlining the progress made so far and indicative timescales for the next steps. Potential design options for a Community Hub in Milngavie will be also be available to view.

There will be an opportunity for people to ask questions and give their feedback which will help inform the development of the new facility.

Joint Council Leader Vaughan Moody said, "The development of the Community Hub will see major investment in the town centre and will provide everyone in Milngavie with a facility they will be proud of.

"Our community hubs are a key aspect of our new locality-based approach to Customer Service delivery in East Dunbartonshire. They are at the heart of town centre regeneration as well as delivering efficiencies and savings."

Joint Council Leader Andrew Polson added, "We listened to the feedback from our earlier engagement activity and this session will keep people up-dated as to how the proposals are progressing and seek their further feedback.

"I would encourage residents to come along to one of the four engagement sessions to find out more as we work towards making this new facility a reality."

This will be the latest in the Council’s network of Hubs across East Dunbartonshire following openings in Kirkintilloch, Lennoxtown, Bearsden and Bishopbriggs.
