Provost Alan Brown was delighted to present the prizes to the winners of his Christmas Card competition this week.

The competition for primary school pupils to design the Council Christmas card for 2017 was won by Abbi Campbell, a P3 pupil from Westerton Primary School.

Provost Brown said, “There were some fantastic entries to our Christmas Card competition and it was lovely to see the wide range of designs that were submitted. It was a really difficult choice to pick the winner, but Abbi’s design really stood out.

“I’d like to congratulate Abbi and our two runners up for their fantastic pictures.”

The runners up were Olivia Gordon (P5) from St Andrew’s Primary School and Rebecca Burns (P6/7) from Baldernock Primary School.

Abbi’s design is being used for the Council Christmas card and e-card and her prize was an art set and gift voucher. The two runners up were also presented with art sets by Provost Brown and Depute Provost Gary Pews.
