East Dunbartonshire's young musicians take over the Royal Concert Hall for one night only

schools orchestraGlasgow's Royal Concert Hall won't know what's hit it next month when hundreds of East Dunbartonshire's most talented musicians descend for their annual Christmas Gala Concert.

The singers, flautists, cellists, drummers and trombonists of the Secondary Schools Orchestra, Primary Schools Choir, Children's Chorus, Youth Choir and Schools Pipe Band are hoping once again to be playing to a full house.

They will treat the audience to a programme of popular orchestral music and traditional festive favourites while the Gaelic Unit of Meadowburn Primary and pupils from Merkland and Campsie View Schools are sure to get toes tapping and bring on that Christmas cheer.

Pre-concert music will be provided by a String Ensemble from selected Primary Schools and the East Dunbartonshire Schools Jazz Orchestra.
