East Dunbartonshire Council welcomed its latest intake of probationer teachers to Douglas Academy this week for their first induction event.
In August, at the start of the new school term, 121 probationer teachers will begin their teaching careers at schools across the area.
Education Vice Convener, Councillor Graeme McGinnigle, said, "East Dunbartonshire has some of the highest performing and achieving schools in the country and we are proud of them and the people who work and learn in them.
“It is great for us to welcome the new probationer teachers who have chosen to start their journey with us. We wish them all the very best for a successful and rewarding probationary year."
