Drop into Kirky’s Pop-Up Shops from today

Pop into Kirkintilloch town centre and check out some of the latest retail ideas and innovations.

That's the invite to residents and workers in East Dunbartonshire as Pop-Up Shop Kirkintilloch lifts off - taking place in vacant units on the Cowgate between 20 March and 1 April (excluding Sundays).

Budding businesses are being given the chance to trade in the town centre, with an eclectic mix on offer - including art, stained-glass works, clothing and astrological analytical services.

Thomas Glen, Depute Chief Executive - Place, Neighbourhood & Corporate Assets, said, "This is the perfect opportunity to pop into Kirkintilloch town centre and enjoy the range of shops, services and hostelries available.

"We're pleased with the response from enthusiastic entrepreneurs who have come forward to take part in Pop-Up Shop Kirkintilloch.

"We hope they enjoy their time in the town centre, supported by the Council and Business Gateway.

"East Dunbartonshire has a huge amount to offer new and existing businesses and retailers, and the Council is working hard is in conjunction with our partners in both the public and private sectors to build on what we have and ensure the continued vitality of all our town centres."
