East Dunbartonshire Council is set to introduce a new traffic calming measure on Kenmure Avenue at its junction with Brackenbrae Road, Bishopbriggs.
A survey of traffic levels and speeds on the road carried out by East Dunbartonshire Council found that some drivers were exceeding the speed limit and overshooting the stop line.
A flat top speed table will now be built at the junction in order to reduce vehicle speeds and enhance road safety.
Councillor Billy Hendry, Convener of Place, Neighbourhood & Corporate Assets, said, “Safety is our primary concern and the introduction of these traffic calming measures is aimed at making the area safer for everyone.”
The Council did not receive any objections to the proposal when it was advertised earlier this year.
