Spring into action and nominate the businesses, enterprises and community champions leading the way in East Dunbartonshire.
That's the request to people who use the many shops, hostelries and organisations in our area.
As well as inviting entries from firms themselves for the 2019 East Dunbartonshire Business Awards, people can also nominate their own shining stars.

The Council is training the spotlight on boardrooms, shopfloors, social enterprises and hostelries across East Dunbartonshire, with nine categories available:
- Start-Up Business
- Established/Growth Business
- Digital Innovation
- Independent Retail Business
- Hospitality, Leisure & Tourism
- Service Provider
- Social Enterprise
- Community Champion
- Eco-Friendly Business.
In addition, the judging panel - including representatives from the local economic community and the Council - will select an overall Business of the Year from the nine category winners.

Councillor Billy Hendry, Convener of Place, Neighbourhood & Corporate Assets, said, "Spring into action - there's no time to waste if you want to be considered for the 2019 Business Awards.
"Local businesses and enterprises provide vital services, leisure activities, facilities and employment to those living in and around East Dunbartonshire - and this is an opportunity to mark the significant contributions made to the area.
"I'm particularly pleased that we are encouraging people to nominate firms. If you have received great service from a local shop, hostelry or organisation, then I would urge you to get in touch."
Awards will be presented at an event to be held on Friday 17 May 2019 in Kirkintilloch Town Hall. Winners will receive a bespoke trophy, certificate and promotion.
