The East Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnerships Public, Service User and Carer (PSCU) representatives group is looking for new members. Getting involved gives you the chance to help bring about changes to the way health and social care services are planned and delivered.

Any East Dunbartonshire resident who has an interest in or is a user of local health and social care services is welcome. We are particularly looking for those in a caring role.

You can become an active representative or depute within the Public, Service User and Carer representatives group. Should your time permit, you can participate within the meetings that develop and help shape the future of vital services such as children’s social work and home care.

Susan Manion, Chief Officer, East Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership, said: “We are continually looking at ways to enhance our services to provide the highest level of care for our residents. Receiving input from community representatives is a vital part of achieving this.

“We are particularly keen to hear from service users and carers, as well as those who simply have in interest in these services from which most of us will benefit at some stage in our lives.”

Health and Social Care Partnerships were formed in 2014 as part of the integration of services provided by Health Boards and Councils in Scotland.

The East Dunbartonshire HSCP is jointly run by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and East Dunbartonshire Council and provides all adult community health, social care and home care services.

It also provides NHS community children’s services, children’s social work services and criminal justice social work services and brings closer partnership working between local health, social care and NHS hospital-based services.
