Let us know your views on proposals to build 38 affordable homes in Kirkintilloch.

East Dunbartonshire Council is proposing to develop affordable housing at the former Lairdsland Primary School in Kirkintilloch.  The site is located on Kerr Street near the town centre.

The proposal is to build 38 affordable homes on the site which would include social rented and shared equity flats.

A public engagement event, organised by the Council’s Housing Team, will give you an opportunity to meet the Architects to discuss the proposals and give your feedback.

The event details are:

Time:               3pm - 8pm

Please take a few minutes to complete the attached questionnaire.  Your views are important to us.  The questionnaire will be available until Friday 24 August 2018, following which the public engagement period will end.

Consultation Results:

The results were mostly positive given that the housing will be in a town centre location.  However, there were some concerns in relation to possible parking issues due to the increase number of housing units.
