Heather Drive open space

This consultation is now closed.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill in the survey. We are now collating and analysing your responses.

A management plan for Heather Avenue and its environs in Bearsden is being created in order for the Council to effectively manage the site for both open space activities such as walking and enjoying the natural environment, and also to manage this biodiversity rich area for wildlife.

The management plan will assist the Council in the effective biodiversity friendly management of these sites and the also the public enjoyment of this site.

The Council has commissioned Heritage Ecological Ltd. (HEL) to prepare a 10-year Management Plan for Heather Avenue, and we are seeking the views of residents on your aspirations for future management to enhance the biodiversity value, recreational use and educational use.

You can help by completing the short survey below. The consultation is open from Thursday 14 March until Monday 8 April 2024.

This project has been funded by the Scottish Government Nature Restoration Fund.
