General Manager – Recruitment & Selection Process

Grade: Grade 15
Reporting to: EDLCT Board of Directors

On behalf of the EDLCT Board, we are pleased to launch the Recruitment & Selection process for the role of General Manager - EDLCT.

The Recruitment & Selection Panel, which consists of the Chair and Vice Chair of EDLCT, an Independent Board Member and the Council’s Chief Executive, is responsible for the selection and appointment to this role.

Recruitment & Selection Process Overview

Prospective candidates will be required to submit:

 

  • A relevant CV (not EDC application form).
  • Statement in support of application demonstrating suitability for the role.
  • A written submission to a set question.

 

Closing Date:  5pm on Friday 26 April 2024

Short-listing process

Short-listing process will be conducted by the Recruitment & Selection Panel.

Candidate submissions will be assessed against:

  • The role profile.
  • A competency assessment of the supporting statement.
  • Defined criteria to assess the set question response.

 

Short-listed candidates will be invited to a final interview with the Recruitment & Selection Panel.

 

Recruitment & Selection Panel Interview process

The format of the interview will be:

 

  • Candidate presentation in response to a pre-set topic
  • Competency based interview

 

Selection process

The selection decision by the Recruitment & Selection Panel will be made based on the assessment of:

 

  • CV
  • Supporting statement demonstrating suitability for role.
  • Written response to set question.
  • Quality of presentation.
  • Performance through interview process.
