Employee News 2023, Issue 31 - New courses added to the Moodle Learning Platform

In Employee News 18 we told you about our new online learning platform for all corporate users – allowing you to tap into a range of user-friendly, work-related resources. Have you logged on yet?

Moodle Workplace was launched with a range of online courses such as Health & Safety and Information & Security already available.

A new range of courses have now been added for employees to complete.

Topics include:

  • Resilience
  • Menopause
  • Mental Health
  • Life Balance
  • Driver Safety
  • Health & Safety
  • Workplace Skills.

Training has also been developed for the Council’s Drugs, Alcohol & Substance Misuse Policy, with more to follow in the next few weeks.

You can log on via EDC Apps. Once the page is open, leave your username and password blank and press the Microsoft button to log on (below the words ‘LOG IN USING YOUR ACCOUNT ON’).

More courses will continue to be added on a regular basis so please keep an eye out.

Each course on Moodle can be completed in around 20 minutes and is flexible so you can achieve allocated and training goals at your own pace.

Corporate users will be able to work through e-learning courses online and, on completion, will be awarded a course badge to form part of their training record.

Employees who are accessing training courses should liaise with their line manager in advance to discuss training needs, in line with PDR conversations, and service needs.
