Workforce of the Future - Workstyles and Smart Working FAQs

Our workforce has adapted and changed over the last two years and continues to do so to deliver services in the best way we can. One thing that hasn’t changed is that we put people at the heart of what we do, including all employees, and that will continue to be our approach.

At its meeting in June, the Council approved our newly defined workstyles for all Council roles as part of our ongoing approach to Smart Working and supporting our workforce for the future. We have now allocated a workstyle to our roles across all services and your workstyle will soon be confirmed to you by your line manager.

Smart Working Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) have been developed and are now available on the employee zone. These cover a number of areas and are a useful reminder of some of our policies and practices to continue to work in the best way possible. These include sections on:

  • Workstyles
  • Terms & Conditions
  • Site specific guidance
  • Health & Safety and access request guidance
  • Training & Development
  • Wellbeing

Once you have your workstyle confirmed, please look through these FAQs and feel free to ask any additional questions through your line manager. If you have suggestions for any new FAQs you think should be added to the employee zone you can email these to our Business Partners at:  BusinessPartnerTeam@eastdunbarton.gov.uk or call Ext 3434.
