Employee News 2020, Issue 81 - Covid-19: Essential Information for Employees

Following information that has arisen this week, it is important to remind all employees of the essential information in relation to Covid-19 to prevent infection and keep us all safe.

I cannot stress enough that you must not come to work in any of the following circumstances:

  • You have covid-19 symptoms
  • A member of your household has Covid-19 symptoms
  • You have booked a Covid-19 test
  • You are waiting for Covid-19 test results
  • You or anyone in your household have a positive Covid-19 test result

In all of these circumstances you must self-isolate for 10 days from the onset of symptoms.Further information on the updated guidance on the changes in self-isolation time is on the Scottish Government website.

It is also important to ensure you follow the Covid-19 risk assessment for your role and your workplace, including the proper use of PPE where this is identified. Please also ensure that you:

  • Follow 2m social distancing where possible
  • Keep to the maximum capacity of designated areas
  • Wear a face covering in communal areas and walking through the workplace
  • Follow good hand and respiratory hygiene
