Employee News 2020, Issue 75 - COVID-19: Changes to local measures for East Dunbartonshire

You will be aware from yesterday’s news announcement that East Dunbartonshire Council area is shortly to move from Level 3 to Level 4 restrictions.

The new restrictions have been put in place for three weeks from 6pm on Friday 20 November.

Full details of are on the Scottish Government Website [opens in a new window].

Please note that travel restrictions will be put into law on 20 November to further enforce the current guidance that restricts people who live in a Level 3 or Level 4 local authority area from travelling outside their local authority except for an essential purpose - such as work or caring responsibilities.

The regulations also prevent non-essential travel into a Level 3 or 4 local authority area, except for the same reasons.

Schools will remain open but children on the Shielding list should not attend in person.

We have been issuing social media messaging on the Council's facebook and Twitter pages to share the Scottish Government announcements and information on the new measures.

Please ensure that you are aware of and follow the new restrictions in place for our Council area.

Thank you
