Employee News 2020, Issue 53 - COVID-19: Employee Update Following Announcement of Local Restrictions in Glasgow, West Dunbartonshire & East Renfrewshire

You will be aware from Scottish Government reports that local restrictions have been put in place in Glasgow City, West Dunbartonshire and East Renfrewshire council areas as a result of spikes in infection rates in those three areas.

The restrictions have been put in place from midnight last night (Tuesday 1 September) for an initial period of 14 days but they will be reviewed after 7 days.

The restrictions are primarily in relation to indoor gatherings, travel and hospital and care home visiting.  If you live in or have family who live in one of these council areas you can find the detailed Scottish Government guidance on their website

These localised outbreaks are a reminder for us all to remain vigilant in relation to coronavirus (COVID-19).  The Employee Zone of the website contains a Coronavirus (COVID-19) Guidance page and also a Wellbeing page, with a specific section on staying safe and well during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Employee Zone - Coronavirus Guidance.

Employee Zone - Wellbeing.

I would encourage you to keep up to date on the latest information being provided in relation to these local outbreaks and restrictions, and to visit the information in our Employee Zone to help you and your families to stay safe and well.

Thank you
