Employee News 2020, Issue 27 - Coronavirus (COVID-19) – New Employee Zone on Council Website

Wednesday 8 April 2020

We are aware that that a large number of our workforce do not have access to Council email or to our intranet the Hub.  Previously we have printed the information and guidance we issue through Employee News and distributed it to the non-office based workforce and that option is no longer available as a result of the service changes now in place as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19).

We have now created an Employee Zone on the Council website, which all employees can access from any device connected to the internet, through the following link:

www.eastdunbarton.gov.uk/coronavirus-covid-19-employees

The Employee Zone includes all of the information we have been issuing in relation to coronavirus (COVID-19) in one place.  In addition to a reminder on the reporting arrangements if you have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) or anyone in your household has symptoms requiring you to self-isolate, the Employee Zone also includes:

  • Employee News: All Employee News relating to coronavirus (COVID-19) have been published
  • COVID-19 Pay and Recording Guidelines
  • Frequently Asked Questions
  • Support for Employees
  • Appeal for Employee Volunteers
  • NHS Public Health Guidance
  • Council Service Updates
  • COVID-19 Annual Leave Principles and Guidelines

As this new Employee Zone is targeted at our Council workforce (including the East Dunbartonshire Leisure & Culture Trust), you cannot search for the Employee Zone on the Council website, so that it is not accessible to the public.  We would therefore encourage line managers and team leaders to share this link with all team members who do not have access to Council email or the intranet.

Please note that this link should not be shared with the general public or anyone who is not employed by the Council or EDLCT.

All future Employee News will be published in this zone whilst our emergency coronavirus (COVID-19) operating procedures remain in place

Once again, thank you all for your continued understanding, co-operation and support and hope that you and your families are staying safe and well.

Thank you

Ann Davie
Depute Chief Executive, Education, People & Business
