Who will process the personal information?

The Council’s cashless catering system uses a scan of the pupil’s finger to generate a unique number. To pay for a school meal, a machine will scan the pupil’s finger and match it to that unique number. This will process the payment using the personal information already provided for the purpose of providing school meals. No image of the fingerprint is retained by the Council. The personal information is solely the unique number which will be processed by East Dunbartonshire Council.
