Performance and governance

The Council is committed to continuously improving the performance of our services and being open and transparent about how well we are doing.  Our aim is to be a sustainable, thriving and achieving organisation which provides high-quality services for our local people and their communities.

The Council’s annual Public Performance Report provides a high level overview of performance across all Council services and can be found in the documents section of this page.

The link below takes you to our Local Outcomes Improvement Plan for 2017-2027. This supersedes previous Single Outcome Agreements (SOAs). You can find previous progression reports on our Single Outcome Agreements in the documents section of this webpage.

The Council’s organisational structure was revised in May 2016 and there are now 11 Strategic Groupings Performance documents relating to the new Strategic Groupings can be found by following the links below.   

How Good Is Our Service

Reporting on the advancement of the Business Improvement Plans (BIPS) uses the How Good Is Our Service (HGIOS) self-evaluation model.  Strategic Group How Good Is Our Service documents can be found here.

Local Government Benchmarking Framework

Councils are required to publish performance information using the Local Government Benchmarking Framework (LGBF) each year.  This ensures that Councils report standard information on the services they provide to local communities across Scotland.  Further information can be found here.

Business Improvement Plans

The Business Improvement Planning Framework enables each of our Strategic Groups to set out their own priorities and identify their contribution to the delivery of our local outcomes.  Business Improvement Plans (BIPS) can be found here.
