a well stocked Fairtrade stallTo mark a decade of hard-earned Fairtrade Town Status, the people of Lenzie came together to enjoy a night of music in Lenzie Union Church. Provost Renwick went along to congratulate everyone involved in the Fairtrade movement and to enjoy the classical concert.

She said, “What an amazing achievement and what a way to celebrate with such a feast of fantastic music. The roots of the Lenzie Fairtrade efforts date back to October 2012 and over the last ten years a host of local groups and individuals have devoted time, energy and resources to maintaining its success.

“The goal is to ensure Fairtrade producers get a Fair Deal in countries where this is not always the case and Lenzie is certainly doing its bit to achieve that.

“My thanks and congratulations to all involved. Here's to many more years of Fairtrade in Lenzie!” The orchestra and conductor take a bow
