2023 Inclusive Summer of Fun

Information for Young People

We’re offering an action-packed programme specifically for all secondary aged young people from Campsie View and Merkland Schools.

  • All activities are free
  • It’s a chance to meet new friends
  • You could discover a new passion

You can go swimming, have tea with a pony, relax in a hydrotherapy pool, create a masterpiece, learn some dance moves and so much more!

Just sign up and enjoy a summer of fun in East Dunbartonshire – we can’t wait to share the fun with you all!

Information for Parents and Carers

This programme includes services from East Dunbartonshire Council, East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Cultural Trust (EDLC), the third sector and small local businesses. Consultation with both schools and pupils helped inform this initiative and we would like your feedback in this pilot year.

We understand that every young person is unique and has their own interests, passions and support needs, and that you know these best. The sign-up details have contact information for the organiser of the event and we encourage you to discuss the specific support your young person requires. Most sessions require a parent/carer to attend. The organisers will discuss the level of support/input required - this depends on the activity.

Venues will have access to drinking water and accessible toilets however, they may not always have changing facilities on-site. We are aware that if this is something you need to consider, this may be a challenge and we would like to support where we can and improve this for future events. There will be an opportunity for you and the young people involved to give us feedback and suggestions for future provision.

If you would like to get in touch, please email: ELC1140@eastdunbarton.gov.uk
