Mrs Annie McSherry of Bearsden had a fantastic time celebrating her 100th birthday recently at Buchanan Care Home in Bearsden. Mrs McSherry (centre) was joined by (left to right) Deputy Lord Lieutenant Ian Dickson, Father Joseph Mackle of St Andrew’s Church, daughter Rosemary and Provost Alan Brown.
Provost Brown said, “It was an honour to meet Mrs McSherry and join her very special birthday celebrations. A 100th birthday is quite a milestone and I was delighted to congratulate Mrs McSherry on behalf of the people of East Dunbartonshire.”
