East Dunbartonshire Home

Council offices

East Dunbartonshire is just North of Glasgow.  It covers an area of some 77 square miles and has easy access to major motorways. Around 110,000 people live within the area, which is bounded to the north by the Campsie Hills.  Local communities include Bearsden, Bishopbriggs, Kirkintilloch, Lennoxtown, Lenzie, Milngavie, Milton of Campsie, Torrance and Twechar.  Neighbouring local authorities include Glasgow City Council, North Lanarkshire Council, Stirling Council and West Dunbartonshire Council.

Tom Johnston House, Civic Way, Kirkintilloch is the Council's Headquarters.  All 24 elected members and the senior management team are located in this building.  The majority of services provided by the Corporate Services Directorate are located here as well as Housing/Housing Benefit services from the Communities Directorate.  Council and Committee meetings are held here and the "Big Eat" Restaurant provides catering services.

The Triangle, Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs is home to Social Work.  Registration Services are also located here.

Protective Services, which is part of the Community Services Directorate is located at Southbank House, Southbank Business Park, Kirkintilloch.

Southbank House, Southbank Business Park, Kirkintilloch houses Education and Integrated Support, which are part of the Community Services Directorate.

The William Patrick Library, Kirkintilloch combines Library and Cultural services, part of the Community Services Directorate, and Development and Enterprise, part of Development and Infrastructure. 

Broomhill Industrial Estate, Kilsyth Road, Kirkintilloch is home to many services including Roads and Neighbourhood Services, Housing repairs and Facilities Management.  The Council's Customer Contact Centre is also located here.
