East Dunbartonshire Council's business training
grant is a discretionary grant programme part funded through
the European Social Fund. Its main aim is to help eligible
businesses to improve their performance by providing new skills to
their workforce. A secondary aim is to encourage businesses to
provide structured training for their workforce.
To qualify, businesses will generally employ less than 250
people worldwide (including holding companies and subsidiaries).
Larger businesses may qualify for support when group training
programmes are undertaken.
All types of training will be considered, providing it is aimed
at improving the business performance of the applicant. It should
have a measurable impact on
- turnover
- efficiency
- profitability
- level of export
Grants of up to 50% of the total training costs (max £3000 per
company/per annum) will be awarded subject to all terms and
