Employee News 2024, Issue 7 Sign up for pool bike training

Pool bikes for use by employees are now available at Broomhill Depot, Southbank House and the Marina for leisure use over lunch, as well as for work purposes.

To use the bikes, you must complete the training carried out by the Traffic and Transport team. This is to ensure you are confident cycling on active roads, using live junctions and are aware of the correct signalling needed to stay safe.

Training will last a total of two and a half hours. On completion you will receive the Adults Cycle Training certificate accredited by Cycling Scotland.

All kit will be provided on the day although you can bring your own helmet - subject to suitability. Participants should wear sensible clothes.

Training sessions will begin on Wednesday 15 May and will be carried out on a ratio of one instructor to three learners.

If you are interested in accessing the pool bikes, you should speak to your line manager and if agreed you can sign up for a session by contacting Andrew Hall on andrew.hall@eastdunbarton.gov.uk

Thank you
