Welcome to the autumn 2011 edition of
edlife, the Council magazine for East Dunbartonshire
residents..
In this edition we update you on the latest
budget consultation survey and highlight how you can volunteer your
time to help others in need.
We feature our efforts to meet housing needs in the area, as well
as highlight the leisure and culture activities that are running
this autumn.
We also focus on what we’re doing to tackle hate crime in our
communities and we look back at the success of the Kirkintilloch
Canal Festival that took over the town at the end of August.
Plus on the back cover there’s news that construction of the
Bishopbriggs Relief Road has been given the green light.
We hope you enjoy this latest edition of Edlife and make the most
of what’s on in East Dunbartonshire this autumn.
Due to the Council's challenging
financial situation it was agreed in the budget that
edlife would no longer be printed and distributed
to every household. However, it’s still available to download and
printed copies are available in our Council offices, leisure
centres and libraries.
