Household waste - domestic bins

As well as providing facilities for the people of East Dunbartonshire to recycle waste and encouraging them to make full use of these facilities, we also provide a weekly waste collection service to households in East Dunbartonshire for items they cannot recycle.

Householders are advised to place the bins at the collection point by 7am on the collection day to ensure the bin is emptied.  For your day of collection, click on the button below.

The Council also operates a Kerbside Recycling Service and Garden Waste Collection which operates from March - November each year. For further details of these schemes, please visit our Garden Waste Collection or Recycling pages.

If you have any further queries regarding domestic bin collections, or recycling, please telephone the Council's Recycling and Waste Advice Line on 0300 123 4510, or email Recycling.  If you require bins, boxes, lids or bags please contact the advice line or email our contact centre.

To report a missed refuse collection you can email the Contact Centre or telephone 0300 123 4510.

We also provide a special uplift service, for the uplift of bulky household goods. For further information on this service, please see information on special uplifts, or you can request an uplift.
