The Head of Legal and Democratic Services reports directly
to the Director of Corporate and
Customer Services. He is the Council's senior lawyer/legal
advisor .
Functions include:
- Legal Services (Litigation, Contracts and
Conveyancing)
- Regulatory Services (Liquor and Civic
Licensing,Gambling and Betting, FOI/Data Protection/
RIPSA)
- Democratic (Committee Services, Elections Management, Civil
Contingencies, Registration Services (Births, Deaths, Marriages),
Citizenship and Partnership Ceremonies
