The Head of Integrated Support - Community Services reports directly to the Director of Community Services. This service is responsible for the management of Childrens Services Planning and Training, Community Learning and Development, Business Support - Education and Social Work, Service Support Performance and Development and the management of Teachers Staffing and Probationary Teachers Placement Programme.

Functions include:

  • Community Learning and Development - FE/HE Links, Community Councils, Learning and training Opportunities, Youth Strategy/Youth Issues, Integrated Children's Services, Delivery for Children and Young People Partnership, Locality Planning Framework, Partnership Developments and Health Forum/Health Development.
  • Community Services - Admissions and Placing Requests, Transport, educational maintenance allowance, Roll Projections/Catchment areas, Free School Meals, Footwear and Clothing Grants, Children's Entertainment/Employment Licences, Admin Support for Music School, Parent Council Administration, Voluntary Sector Disclosures, School Attendance Officer Liaison and Support staff (Classroom Assistant, Technicians, Clerical Assts.)
  • School/Curriculum Staffing - Timetabling, Education Support Services, Staffing (Secondary, Primary, Nursery and Special schools)
