My name is Gerry Cornes and I am the Chief Executive of East
Dunbartonshire Council. The Chief Executive is the Council's chief
adviser and is the link between Council officials and elected
members. As Head of Paid Service, the Chief Executive provides
managerial leadership for Council officers and is responsible
for:
- Co-ordinating the forward planning of the Council's services
and objectives.
- Securing a corporate approach to the affairs of the
Council.
- Ensuring the Council's policies are implemented efficiently and
effectively and that they give best value to the Council
taxpayer.
- Maintaining the Council's relationships with other
organisations.
