East Dunbartonshire Council's Social Work aim to provide
quality services that, as far as possible, meet the needs of all
the people who use them.
We are always looking at ways of improving our services. Your views
and comments give us valuable information on how we can do
this.
If you have any comments, if you are unhappy about how we have
dealt with you – or indeed if you would like to tell us that we
have done well, please email: socialwork@eastdunbarton.gov.uk
You can also contact us directly, by writing or phoning us at: the

We will treat your comments and complaints confidentially.

Procedure (Social Work)

If you make a complaint we will treat
you fairly and it will certainly not affect the quality of the
services you receive in the future.
If you receive a service you can complain - and someone can
complain on your behalf as long as we are satisfied that the person
complaining is reflecting your views and acting in your best
interests.
Complaints can be about us or about someone acting on our behalf –
such as an agency we purchase a service from for you – and could
include:
- poor communication
- not being treated with respect
- not allowing someone to have a say in decisions about his or
her life
- taking too long to do something
- the service not being of a good quality or not being the right
service for you
- how decisions are made as to what services you receive and
when
- failing to consider a complaint or representation from you
